You know that cozy, warm feeling when you pour yourself a cup of coffee and sit down on the couch under a blanket in the morning before everyone else wakes up? Us too. We get it. That delicious first sip can be addicting, and truly the highlight of the day sometimes. We also can relate to the caffeine jitters and the 3pm crash that often comes with it. Coffee can be a rollercoaster - even though with all of the holiday flavors it can sometimes be a fun one.
Looking for a coffee alternative can feel daunting because, like us, I'm sure you've tried many and they don't usually live up to the hype. They tend to be chalky, or bitter, or just a little bit too...boring. Well, we have a solution for you- Boost Blend by Allura Superfoods. Not only is it DELICIOUS, but it's really, really good for you. So you still get that first sip happiness while also nourishing your body. Win win.
The best coffee alternative I've EVER tried! - Nick
Before we get into the recipes, we want to cover why we feel like this is important to talk about. It's really easy to swing through the Starbucks line, or pour in your coffee mate and call it a day, however it's not necessarily the healthiest option. When it comes to something like coffee, that's something most people are ingesting every single day. Wouldn't it make more sense to incorporate something that's really nourishing rather than damaging?

Let's talk about what kind of ingredients can be found in the Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte, for example.
- Carageenan: This is a thickener that is used in a LOT of milk products, especially when mixed in with coffee. This has been linked to obesity, IBS, glucose intolerance and even cancer.
- Gums: Things like locust gum, gellan gum and guar gum are used for thickening substances. Gums can cause things like gas and bloating, while also leading to inflammation of the intestinal lining.
- Natural Flavors: This one is tricky, because while natural flavors are technically "derived from plant and animal material" vs. being made artificially in a lab, that doesn't always mean it's a good thing. Even though they're derived from natural substances, they can still be processed and modified in a lab. They actually add chemicals to the naturally occurring substances. Things like solvents, emulsifiers, preservatives and flavor enhancers. So...not very natural after all. This can lead to things like allergic reactions, toxicity and even cancer.
- High Fructose Corn Syrup: This is a sugar alternative used in MANY processed foods. It's actually banned in Europe because it has been found to be that dangerous. It can contribute to obesity, diabetes, hypertension, heart disease and even cancer.
We could go on, and on and on. This list is not exhaustive of the different kinds of chemicals found in these drinks. But these are just a few examples of what you're ingesting often on a daily basis. So what does the alternative look like?

People who have tried (and LOVE) Boost Blend have reported things like more energy, hair growth, no brain fog, recovering faster from workouts and overall just feeling happier with a more stable mood. We can attest to this!! PLUS it's an insanely delicious, creamy, chocolatey and rich taste that you'll crave.
When comparing Boost Blend to coffee, there are a lot of benefits and reasons why it's a good swap. Boost Blend contains a lot less caffeine (35mg vs 80-100mg in an 8oz cup), it gives you steady energy vs the spike of energy coffee tends to give. It reduces stress while coffee tends to create stress and can even induce anxiety. And you don't get that caffeine crash, those jitters or the brain fog from Boost Blend. So many benefits.
